CADESTIMATOR is not meant to replace your accounting system.
What is TRACKING
The Tracking in CADESTIMATOR was originally designed to "account to an accounting dept" in the construction of movie sets. I
don't know why, but keeping a budget in real time put you weeks ahead of the accounting dept.
Goal #1
That Tracking was so easy to use that an untrained production assistant could use it.
Goal #2
That you would know up to the minute where every
dollar in the job stood and that you could easily document it with a few mouse click and print it out.
CADESTIMATOR MEETS TRACKING
It was a natural extension of
CADESTIMATOR to incorporate TRACKER because the takeoffs could actually create the POs
Goal #2 is further enhanced by POs graphically showing placement of material
